Wat een indrukwekkende ervaring is de trail geweest in de Abruzzen-Italië. Zonder besef van tijd, los van mijn dagelijkse beslommeringen en afleidingen, is er alleen maar tijd voor mij en de natuur. I met Esther as facilitator of my Foundation for Natural Leadership trail to Spain last November. Besides setting up and facilitate a very inspirational journey, I learned to know her as somebody who can help and guide people in their thoughts and ideas with her sharp mind and energizing personality. She and the trail in Spain helped me in sharpening my ideas for the future (both careers as personal) and reflection on the past. In oktober 2021 volgde ik mijn impuls en besloot ik een trail te doen bij FNL. Ik ging mee naar Italië waar Esther facilitator bij was. Vanaf onze eerste kennismaking voelde ik vertrouwen in haar en durfde ik het aan het om ook echt te gaan. Op de reis ervaarde ik Esther als een echte verbinder. Met haar spontaniteit, enthousiasme en energie was ze in staat iedereen te betrekken bij het proces. Haar sportiviteit en kennis over lijf en brein maken haar een hele geschikte begeleider voor een dergelijke trail. In June 2019 I joined Esther and her colleague Bé van Lotringen on a trail organized by the Foundation for Natural Leadership in de Swiss Alps. It was a pleasure to experience the mountain solitude and beautiful surroundings. With the aim to make a connect with both nature and our inner selves, this was a rewarding experience. The respect demanded by the vastness and robustness of the Weisshorn and other peaks formed an essential element in this. Together with our Swiss mountain guide Claude Carron, Esther made us feel at ease in a very natural manner in demanding conditions (one meter of snow still surrounding the hut where we stayed…). They complement each other perfectly, where Esther challenged us not only with questions leading to new insights to be implemented in our daily lives, but also also provided some nice chi kung exercises!
